This week’s episode finds me and Anamaria in Bilbao, Spain attending the BIME Latin music convention. We have soaked up a variety of new music that spans style, fashion and custom as we stroll about this stunning metropolis in between panels and periods.

So this week we share with you a few of the music that makes us really feel like we’re within the musical house the place flamenco can dominate, however does not blot out different traditions. The truth is, as you will hear on this episode, flamenco usually is simply the beginning of wonderful musical and cultural mash ups. Stroll with us and listen to for yourselves.

Featured Songs:

• Mayte Martín, “El Breve Espacio Que No Está”
• Rels B and Lia Kali, “La Vida Sin Ti”
• Judeline, “INRI”
• Buika, “La Niña De Fuego”

Audio for this episode of Alt.Latino was edited and combined by Simon Rentner. Our venture supervisor is Grace Chung. NPR Music’s government producer is Suraya Mohamed. Our VP of Music and Visuals is Keith Jenkins.
