Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

Fantasy Gallery is dedicated to high-quality fantasy artwork, including characters, environments, and wallpapers. This Editorial Policy explains how we create, review, and maintain informational content and image descriptions on the site. Our goal is to be transparent about methods, sources, corrections, and the role of AI so visitors can trust the content and attributions they find here.

Who produces our content

Content on this site is researched, written, and maintained by the Fantasy Gallery Editorial Team. The team manages art descriptions, gallery pages, wallpapers, and explanatory posts. Where available, original artists, contributors, and guest creators are credited on individual posts and image pages. We do not invent or attribute work to people who did not create it; attributions are based on contributor-supplied information, licensing metadata, or links to the artist’s public profile.

Editorial standards

  • Accuracy and clarity: We aim to provide clear, accurate descriptions and context for artwork and wallpapers. For creative or interpretive content (fictional lore, imagined character backgrounds, or speculative scenes) we label material as interpretation or artistic concept rather than factual history.
  • Attribution and licensing: We include artist credits and license information whenever available. If an image is licensed from a third party, is provided under a permissive public license, or is AI-assisted, that status is displayed on the image page whenever known.
  • Transparency: We disclose when AI tools helped create an image or text (see the AI assistance section below). We also disclose sponsored or paid content (see Independence and advertising disclosure).
  • Respect for creators: We respect creators’ stated copyright and licensing terms. We do not claim ownership of third-party art and we remove or correct attributions when credible ownership information is supplied.

Research process

Our editorial process varies by content type:

  • Artwork pages and galleries: We collect contributor-provided metadata, artist statements, and license details. When possible we link to the artist’s source page or portfolio.
  • Informational posts (genre guides, technique overviews, wallpaper usage tips): We consult publicly available references such as artist blogs, official documentation of tools, platform help centers, and reputable art community resources.
  • Factual claims about real people, tools, or historical references: These are checked against reputable public sources and cited or linked in the post when relevant.

Source selection

  • Preferred sources include artist websites and portfolios, official documentation for software and tools, recognized art platforms and galleries, and other primary or authoritative sources.
  • We avoid relying solely on anonymous or unverified sources. For any contributor-supplied information, we attempt to corroborate details through available metadata or the contributor’s public profile.
  • When claims cannot be reliably sourced, we treat them as interpretation and note that limitation in the content.

Fact checking and verification

Before publication, editorial staff verify factual elements such as artist attributions, licensing statements, and technical instructions. Verification steps include:

  • Checking image metadata and contributor-supplied links.
  • Confirming license terms on the original hosting page when a third-party source is named.
  • Validating tool or technique references against official documentation or multiple reputable sources.

Where verification is not possible, we label the relevant content accordingly and invite readers to provide documentation through our contact page.

AI assistance disclosure

We use AI tools modestly and transparently to assist with certain tasks, such as drafting alt text, editing descriptive copy, brainstorming creative concepts, or generating imagery in clearly labeled AI-assisted projects. Any AI-assisted text or images are reviewed and edited by the Fantasy Gallery Editorial Team before publication. If a piece of content or an image is substantially created by AI, that fact is indicated on the post or image page.

Human editorial review

All published content undergoes human review by one or more members of the editorial team. Editors check for clarity, correctness, licensing consistency, and adherence to this policy. When a post includes contributions from outside creators, we verify attribution and display the contributor’s provided credits.

Content updates and review cadence

We review and update content periodically to keep it accurate and relevant. Updates may be triggered by new information from creators, changes in licensing, reader feedback, or significant developments in tools and platforms used by creators. Major changes are reflected in the post and, where appropriate, a note that the content was updated along with the update date.

Corrections and reporting errors

If you find an error in attribution, licensing, or factual information on Fantasy Gallery, please tell us so we can investigate and correct it. To report a problem, use our Contact page (https://fantasy-gallery.com/contact/) or the contact form on the site. When an error is confirmed, we will correct the content and add a short correction note describing the change and the date it was made.

Independence and advertising disclosure

Fantasy Gallery may display advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links. Such content is identified and separated from editorial content. Editorial decisions—what artwork we feature and how we describe it—are made by the editorial team and are not sold to advertisers. Sponsored or paid partnerships are disclosed on the relevant pages.

Author and byline approach

  • Default byline: Many informational pages and art descriptions are credited to the Fantasy Gallery Editorial Team.
  • Individual credits: When individual writers, artists, or guest contributors provide content and request credit, we display the name and any biography or links they provide. We do not create or invent personal biographies or credentials for contributors.
  • Correction of bylines: If ownership or authorship information is incorrect, we will correct the byline based on verifiable information supplied by the creator or a credible source.

Limitations and scope

Fantasy Gallery focuses on fantasy artwork and related informational content. We are not a source of professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). Descriptions of fictional elements and in-universe lore are creative interpretations and not factual claims about the real world.
